Pergolas Built to Hold the Yard Together
A good pergola anchors a yard. It needs proper footings, real beams, and a finish that doesn't look temporary.
What this service actually is.
Pergolas earn their keep when they're sized to the architecture and footed to last. We don't build skinny posts on shallow footings.
We build in clear cedar, painted douglas fir, steel, and aluminum louvered systems. Lighting, fans, and heaters can be integrated.
What's included
- Engineering and permits
- Footings (concrete piers, properly depth-set)
- Posts, beams, and rafters
- Louvered or fixed roof options
- Lighting, fans, heaters (integrated)
- Stain or paint finish
How a pergolas project runs.
Consultation
We start with a no-pressure consultation — usually a walkthrough at your home — to understand how you use the space, the constraints, and what a successful pergola project looks like for you.
Design & Scope
We translate the goals into drawings, materials, and a written scope with realistic line-item pricing. Nothing vague, nothing buried.
Permits & Pre-Construction
We pull permits, finalize selections, schedule trades, and protect the rest of your home before demolition. You receive a written timeline.
Build
One project manager, consistent crew, weekly written updates, and clean job sites. Inspections handled by us.
Punch List & Closeout
We walk the project with you, complete the punch list, hand over warranties and care guides, and stay reachable after closeout.
What homeowners ask before signing.
Wood or aluminum?
Wood reads warmer; aluminum is lower-maintenance and supports louvered roofs.
Will it really shade?
Slat spacing matters — we design for the time of day you actually use the space.
Permit needed?
For freestanding above a certain size or attached to the house — usually yes.
