Fire Pits, Permitted and Done Right
A fire pit is a small project that's easy to do badly. Gas sizing, clearances, and venting decide whether it works in year three.
What this service actually is.
We build masonry, concrete, and steel-clad fire pits — gas or wood. Gas pits get properly sized lines, code clearances, and weatherproof ignition. Wood pits get real airflow and stone that won't spall.
Location matters more than design — we site them for prevailing wind, sightlines, and clearances first.
What's included
- Site and code clearance review
- Gas line sizing and install
- Burner pan, media, and ignition system
- Masonry or steel structure
- Surrounding hardscape integration
How a outdoor fire pits project runs.
Consultation
We start with a no-pressure consultation — usually a walkthrough at your home — to understand how you use the space, the constraints, and what a successful fire pit project looks like for you.
Design & Scope
We translate the goals into drawings, materials, and a written scope with realistic line-item pricing. Nothing vague, nothing buried.
Permits & Pre-Construction
We pull permits, finalize selections, schedule trades, and protect the rest of your home before demolition. You receive a written timeline.
Build
One project manager, consistent crew, weekly written updates, and clean job sites. Inspections handled by us.
Punch List & Closeout
We walk the project with you, complete the punch list, hand over warranties and care guides, and stay reachable after closeout.
What homeowners ask before signing.
Gas or wood?
Gas is convenient and low-fuss. Wood is more atmospheric. Code, HOA, and use pattern usually decide.
How close to the house?
Code-defined clearances apply; we site farther when wind suggests it.
Will it work in wind?
Gas pits with proper burner pans and protected ignition handle wind well.
